Lundqvist was beaten by Ilya Kovalchuk to open the scoring, a goal cancelled out by Ryan Callahan’s tally 42 seconds later. But after making his first save on a soft effort by a sprawling Brad Mills, Lundqvist gave up a second goal to defenseman Andy Greene.
After that, though, Lundqvist settled down to finish the night with 25 saves.
