• Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made 28 saves through regulation and overtime, and turned aside two of three shootout attempts to improve to 3-0-0 in pre-season action.

Henrik Lundqvist wasn’t thrilled to give up four goals in the game, but he was happy with the win and glad to get a shootout under his belt before the start of the season.

“During the year, it is going to be a big part if you are going to make it (to the playoffs) or not - the overtime and the shootout,” Lundqvist said. “It is important that we stay sharp in the overtime or if it goes to a shootout. We have to take it seriously and be really focused.
