Henrik Lundqvist stopped 31 of 34 shots he faced to earn his ninth win of the season, including his fifth consecutive win. By earning the win, Lundqvist became the first Rangers goaltender who has earned at least one win against each of the Blueshirts’ current 29 NHL opponents at Madison Square Garden. As of the conclusion of tonight’s game, Lundqvist leads the NHL in saves (405) and shots against (428), and he is tied for the NHL lead in wins (nine) this season. Over his personal five-game winning streak, Lundqvist has posted a 1.40 GAA and a .955 SV% (149 saves on 156 shots). In addition, he has made at least 30 saves in eight of his 13 appearances this season.
