Post- Game Notes & Reaction; Swedish Meatballs Slow Down Lundqvist

ShareThis -Henrik Lundqvist made 18 saves to improve to 15-12-2 overall, including a 5-6-2 mark at MSG. He is now 8-4-1 with a 1.89 goals against average, a .929 save percentage and three shutouts in his last 13 games.

From the Blueshirts Blog:

Henrik Lundqvist, who allowed a couple of soft goals to Rob Schremp and P.A. Parenteau in a span of 1:52 in the first period, admitted that he felt rusty after not having played since Thursday.

“I knew coming into the game it would take me a little bit to get comfortable,” Lundqvist said. “Being off for a few days and eating a lot of Swedish meatballs, that’s what happens.”

  1. Yeah this was one of the few games where the team helped Henrik and Henrik didn't help the team too much, in my opinion. But good they won, and good that he doesn't always have to be sharp like he used to be.

  3. @ Anna- I agree. It was nice to see the team generate some offense like that. Hopefully, they can keep it up. Even when Henrik is playing amazing they should still be able to score goals for him.

@ Kat- Sean Avery doesn't have Facebook, that's a fake. He doesn't even have Twitter or a website/blog anymore.
