Joel Lundqvist has participated and won four Swedish Championship golds with his Frölunda. In both 2003 and 2005, he won together with his twin brother Henrik Lundqvist.

But there will be no more gold hunt for the Lundqvist brothers in Frölunda. In recent months, there has been speculation that Henrik Lundqvist, who has one year left on his contract with the New York Rangers, will be bought out from the NHL club he has represented since 2005.
