I attended the Rangers home opener on Sunday night. Here are some new additions to the Crown Collection I saw in the team store:

Here's the official press release on the new additions:

Today New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist unveiled new additions to the highly popular Crown Collection, a selection of apparel he designed where a portion of all proceeds benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Lundqvist is the Foundation’s spokesperson, and has raised thousands of dollars and spent countless hours mentoring and inspiring Garden of Dreams children. In 2012, Lundqvist was given the Garden of Dreams Hero Award, honoring him for his commitment to the Foundation, and his active, on-going dedication to children facing obstacles.

New Crown Collection pieces for this season include a signature fitted jacket, hooded sweatshirt, a new fitted cap style, a knit scarf, as well as select novelty items all featuring the exclusive logo of a crown with Lundqvist’s number 30 in the center. These items will be complimented by the classic t-shirt and hat that debuted last season. The Crown Collection is sold exclusively at retail stores at Madison Square Garden. A portion of all proceeds benefit Garden of Dreams.

“After the success of last year’s Crown Collection I couldn’t be more excited for fans to see the new pieces this season,” said Lundqvist. "It was such a great way to connect with fans as well as raise money for The Garden of Dreams Foundation. The amazing work that Garden of Dreams does for underprivileged kids is so important to me, I’m really proud that Crown Collection can contribute to such a great cause."

The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that works with The Madison Square Garden Company (MSG) to positively impact the lives of children facing obstacles. Through ongoing programs that use the magic of MSG – including the Knicks, the Rangers, the Liberty, MSG Entertainment, MSG Networks and Fuse – the Foundation develops strong, long-term relationships that truly change lives. Since its inception in September 2006, Garden of Dreams has created thousands of once-in-a-lifetime experiences that have brought joy and happiness to more than 225,000 children and their families, including those facing homelessness, extreme poverty, illness and foster care. Sorry about the poor lighting in the pictures. They were taken on my iPhone and the lighting situation at MSG is pretty bad as well. What do you think about the new Crown Collection additions? I personally was hoping the Crown Collection hoodie would have the crown logo on the front of it, and in color. Instead the crown is on the back of the hoodie and it's completely black.
