Lundqvist had been trying to break in his Winter Classic pads in recent practices but felt they weren't ready. He decided last night to stick with his normal pads. Equipment manager Cass Marques put the bridge/logo design onto Lundqvist's usual liberty pads.

Henrik Lundqvist Woman's Wear Daily (Sweden) Interview
Björn Borg , Börje Salming , David Beckham , Fredrik Ljungberg ... The list of male sports stars who borrowed their name or face for underwear is long.
For a few years now, New York Ranger's Swedish star goalkeeper Henrik Lundqvist has been on the list through his collaboration with the Swedish underwear company Bread & Boxers - a partnership that represents a joint venture for Henriks part.
HENRIK LUNDQVIST
AGE: 35 years.
BOR: In New York.
DO: Goalkeeper in the New York Rangers.
FAMILY: Ms. Therese , daughters Charlise , 5, and Juli , 2.
BACKGROUND: Became a professional in NHL 2005 and has since been named NHL's best goalkeeper, Stanley Cup finalist and won Olympic gold, World Cup gold and two World Cup silver.
ACTUAL: Partner in the Bread & Boxers underwear company. Launches its thirteenth season in the New York Rangers on October 5th.
Why did you choose to work with underwear?
"I have known Alex (Palmgren, one of Bread & Boxer's two founders, reds anm) for almost twelve years. When this project appeared, he asked if I was interested in jumping. I think they have a good attitude to the brand, it is quite relaxed and prestigious. I often wear clothes, so it's nice to be able to dress down occasionally.
What can you add?
- In particular, to spread the brand in the channels I have. As a public person, you have the opportunity to spread a message, whether it's fashion or opinion.
Is this something you would like to work on after the hockey career?
- Absolutely! I have not sneaked into an area, but I've always had a creative side, and fashion and music are some things I like.
You were named earlier this year to one of the world's best-dressed athletes of Sports Illustrated. Where do you find your fashion inspiration?
"It's easy to be inspired in New York. When you come to Sweden you will notice quite easily "aha, this is what's in right now". But it does not feel like there is anything in New York, because there are so many different styles there.
Do your teammates ask you for tips?
- Well ... but I remember when I was 20 years old and began to be interested in fashion, and tested a lot of different styles. The older guys had some comments about it, although I always thought it was fun to get into such discussions. But style tips ... everyone can advise someone sometimes just because they want an extra eye.
Do you feel pressured to always be well dressed?
- Certainly, there are days when you feel it's time to dress up, but there are also days when you feel it's nice to relax in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.
Your wine skull is legendary. Are you in a bad mood if you lose in games against your children?
"I'm not getting angrier than my oldest daughter becomes - she gets terribly angry. But I understand where she got it ... I can lose to her, because I see how happy she gets when she wins. True, sometimes, I actually want to teach her that she cannot win every time.
What was your dream job when you were little?
- I wanted to drive a tractor when I was very small, then it became quite early.
Have you ever been starstruck?
- The first time I met Roger Federer and the first time I met Jay Z. I think Roger is a great athlete, so it was fun to get to know him a little. With Jay Z I was talking business.
What song did you humble lately?
- We had a crab slice in August, and all old schlagers like to sing with you. Like this, "Drag down the roller blind ..." what's the name of Tomas Ledin?
Tonight I'm yours.
- Just.
You have your own restaurant. But what is your paradise?
- I almost never cook food. On the other hand, I love to eat spaghetti with meat sauce, if that matters.
What do you think is sexy with others?
- Self-confidence combined with humility.
What was the last gift you bought?
- It was a call to my wife, on our wedding day.
What talent would you like?
- Being able to sing. I like music, and play guitar, but I do not have vocal voice.
Which person would you rather talk to?
- Dave Grohl in Foo Fighters.
How do you want to be remembered?
- As a caring, considerate person.
